It's come full circle. A fake "tea party" candidate, rich and dishonest, hands an election to a democrat. Like Charlie Brown with a chance at a punt, we are afraid to get as vicious as our opponents.

The sight of Jack Davis' campaign organizer gloating after Corwin's defeat said it all.

After Paladino and Davis, I'm done hearing about the tea party.

In most states the TEA Party has been a very positive force. In states like NY, unfortunately, it appears is has not been. Paladino was a joke candidate. The preferred TEA Party NY-26 candidate, Bellavia, and his butthurt supports endorsing the leftist Davis was a disaster - particular in light of the fact that they did it to make sure the Democrat won. If the TEA Party doesn't run a tighter ship and make certain it works within the confines of the Republican party in 2012, it will end up splitting the right of center vote and guaranteeing Democrats win elections in places they shouldn't.
