Thanks Newt for attacking Ryan’s plan for Medicare.

Once again he has influenced an election to the detriment of the republican.

The fake tea party candidate didn’t help either.

Medicare works again. All we will hear for the next year is Mediscare, Mediscare, Mediscare. Thanks brilliant GOP.

It seems to me that the lesson in this is that 3rd party candidates are problematic for Republicans. They can be disastrous when handled as poorly as Corwin handled this one.

If Corwin’s problem really was the Ryan plan, her best bet would have been to bring Paul in for a town hall meeting. He tends to win over most people with his presentation.

The Dems played the 26th well:

They got 1 of their own on the Tea Party line to siphon off votes from Corwin.

They ran a well liked candidate with good name recognition, even though a carpet bagger.

They were very effective with their use of "Mediscare."
