“You never open your mouth until you know what the shot is.”
Obama...
1. Just saw Pacino live here in NC - paid a pretty penny for a close up seat but boy was it worth it - the guy is legend!
2. In watching that clip for the 100th time today I was thinking that America could give Pacino’s speech to Zero and it would all just work word for word.
“Your job is to help us make a living. Not to F us up! You fairy ....” etc. etc. etc.
I love that scene, Pacino at his best.
Especially funny seeing as how Spacey is a fairy in real life.
Have you seen this, it’s hysterical (Warning: Language)

Yeah, I thought the same thing. However, I believe he looked confused because someone switched his original notes, which said,
HEY, SHIZZLE LET'S GIVE A SHOUT OUT FOR LIZZLE!"
Oh I didn’t know that - NTTAWWT LOL!
Toasts are racist.. a white custom concocted specifically to cause a black liberal to muff up. Oh when will the hate ever end?
The problem is not with what he is briefed on. The problem is with him hearing what is being said. People with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) make for horrible listeners. While others are speaking, folks with NPD are thinking thoughts of themselves and how important they are.
There is no doubt in my mind that he was given correct instructions but I do doubt that he clearly heard them.
Whoa-uh-oh-uh-oh God sa-e-ave Dah Quee-e-e-e-eeeeen. Das whut I be talkin bout. Git yo hands up.
'Tain't funny, McGee...
Dis he bring the Queen any more gifts of American DVD’s?
>>He didn’t recognize a National Anthem...<<
I would be willing to bet that he thought that the music was being played to add weight to his toast....
And for those trying to lay this on the Queen, imagine if some dunderhead started trying to talk to our President (very publicly) while our National Anthem was playing. Well, our previous Presidents, anyway. Our current one would probably join the conversation...seriously. But, hey, smartest President ever...in 2008, maybe, where he seems to want to remain...back in the glory days before he got any real responsibility that he couldn’t shirk by voting “present.”
That video is more embarrassing to us than either their idiotic gifts or their previous encounters with the Queen. It just shows that our President hasn’t a clue. If it’s not about him, well, it just doesn’t matter.
And I don’t think the video is campaign fodder either. No Republican should want to run that video, that embarrassing video, in a campaign. It embarrasses our country.
One more thing.....Obama’s “Gift”, as in “Harry, I have a gift.”
When it comes to public speaking, his gift is his voice. The first time I ever heard it back in about 2004 I remember thinking, “Oh, oh, this guy’s going to be trouble,” because I recognized its appeal. It doesn’t matter what he’s saying, he has an exceptionally fine voice for public speaking.
But that is the extent of his “gift.” His voice. The fact that he required a note card to toast the Queen indicates that there is very little backing up his gift. Without guidance, he and his gift are lost, “quite lost,” as the Brits might say.
0bama showing the world what an arse he is once again. All the America haters rejoic at our own self-loathing to have put this punk in office.
Can we please designate some other official to be our ‘Toaster-In-Chief’?
And, what's with those note cards? Took me all of a few minutes to memorize that toast. If it's about being nervous, then he should have doubly-prepared to compensate for that.
And, really — how difficult IS it to learn the proper protocol for such an occasion? I can google it and know fairly rapidly what to do, and if it were important enough, I certainly would take the time to learn it.
It's not rocket science, after all.
I'm speechless!
Like.
Indeed. Imagaine if Bush had made that gaffe, or written 2008 in the Westminster Abbey visitor’s book?! Mr. 57 states is a joke, but don’t expect to hear about it on late night, etc.; all presidential humor stopped on January 20, 2009.
Look at the Queen's body language. She definitely didn't want him there.
