I can’t hear the “no” but I’m unsure what that means in Luo, which is supposedly what Sarah Obama speaks, along with just a few words of Swahili. I don’t hear the “Mombasa” that you hear.

As for the “son of this village,” this is often used, as when JFK was called a “son of Ireland.”
