I've bulleted their reasons; if you think your brain can take it, go to the article to see how they explain it away. Wow. Really??

Probably written by someone who doesn’t have a car.

What about people who live where they have to drive? What about people who have to drive for work? You arrogant liberals never think about them, do you?

Peggy Joseph doesn't care how expensive gas becomes because Barry sends her a check to cover it.

What? He doesn't?

Never mind.

I've been putting this sticker on gas pumps:
"Somehow we have to figure
out how to boost the price of
gasoline to the [$8-$10/gal]
levels in Europe." - Barrack Obama's
Energy Secretary Steve Chu. Had enough yet???)

I've sized mine to fit twelve to a sheet of bumper sticker stock...

Lynn Mucken—You are a brain dead mindless idiot.

-Fewer people would die on the road. (Yeah, but will hang themselves because of their poverty. That’s a wonderful benefit of your proposal for a 3rd world country)

-Demand for high-mileage cars could grow. (As if anyone could buy them unemployed thanks to the mega cost of gas??)

-Shorter security lines (Really? Because no one can afford to go anywhere?)

-Less Pollution (Unless you discount the burning cities caused from the unemployed masses)

-Less Congestion (Yeah, for the governing elite)

-High prices lead to lower prices. (What?? Is this woman a complete zombie?)

-More exercise (You mean from the rioters running from the riot police?)

-End of wars (Right—just like in 1918.)

-Local Business could profit (From what? Selling sawdust bread?)

-It’s all about democracy (Idiot. We don’t have a democracy—we have a representative republic(or used to). But I wouldn’t expect a dimwit living in a womb of stupidity to even know this. Just crawl back into your fantasy hole now.)

Not for you and your family personally, maybe, but perhaps for the United States as a whole...

We ARE the United States as a whole. - It is us.

I would gladly pay $10 a gallon, if it helps us get that bastard Obama and the dems out of power.

“With the national average for regular at $3.81, it’s easy to label oil executives as pond scum”

C’mon, Lynn Mucker - you’re shilling for Barack when you try to blame the oil companies for the prohibition of drilling for American oil, inflating the dollar and generally making America the tail, if it ever gets wagged. You’re just another Liberal Socialist and we didn’t need another one of them.

Let’s see if I can get this right-Under Bush $4 gas meant we were all being ripped off by greedy oil companies and a couple oil men in the WH who were personally profiting from our suffering. Now, under the boy-king and $5 gas we’re still being ripped off by greedy, tax-evading oil companies, but...our messiah will use this hardship to lead us to the green promised land featuring cheap plentiful alternative energy, no more congestion or pollution and all of humanity living in blissful ecological harmony.

Wow, I feel really ashamed now that I didn’t realize all this early on.

The liberal dream for Americans is basically Beijing:

1. You WILL ride your bicycle
2. to your 8-5 union factory job and
3. return home to your dirty little apartment to
4. raise your single allowable child who is
5. supervised by your neighborhood social worker.

Non-participation will result in an extended stay in a re-education camp.

Of course, the liberal elites will continue to drive BMW’s to their country manors, but the stress of managing the flyover sheeple necessitates luxury.

Personally I find it truly amazing that the petroleum industry can sell a gallon of gas for about three dollars a gallon, once you strip out the embedded fuel taxes.

That means the entire transportation, refining, transportation again, distribution infrastructure can make a profit once they buy the oil for $100 a barrel, and sell it for $126 a barrel ($3x42 = 126, if it could all be converted to gas, which it can’t be)

Yesterday I bought a pint of dental mouthwash, that is supposed to fight bacteria, for $25. Looking at the label, 85% of the contents was water, so I paid $25 for 1.25 ounces of the active ingredient, flavors, colors etc.
That works out to $2560 per gallon, quite a few quid more than $3 gasoline!

So, who’se raping who??
