Do we have ignition here? Iowa Republicans already have predicted that Rep.Michele Bachmann’s appearance at a Polk County Republican dinner in Des Moines on Thursday night will be “historic,” complete with an announcement from the Minnesota lawmaker that she plans to run for president in 2012.

Looks like she is trying to beat Palin to the punch. This is turning out to be a very exciting GOP primary. The Lamestream must be so upset that they won’t be able to write another hack piece on how lame our field is. FUN!!!

Too late for that. Anyone with water on the brain already knows that Sarah is running - especially after the announcement of the movie and the patriot tour.

Bachmann is a fantastic patriot, but this is a fight that she will not win.

Sure is going to take the focus off the RINOs which must be very irritating to them.

Do you just USE Free Republic to pimp your “column”?

That’s pretty damned scummy.

I will take Bachmann anyday over Palin. Bachmann has it right on immigration and is a great conservative.

She would also be a serious and fine candidate.

Bachmann is very good. I’ve been a huge supporter. It’s become clear to me that the left has very high hopes that she and Cain will split the conservative vote away from Palin.

The left knows that of the three, only Palin can beat Obama. One reason is that Palin is the only one who has been fully vetted, and many times over. Bachmann and Cain have not been run through the media grindstone, not even once. They would not survive.

Palin, on the other hand, is untouchable.

There is no poll out that anyway proves only Palin can beat Obama. Palin is the dream candidate for the dems. That is why she got the great write up in the NYT.

I can’t vote in the primary for someone who agrees with McCain on immigration. I haven’t heard otherwise so I will take what I heard with the Greta interview.

Amnesty or “pathway to citizenship for illegals” is bad no matter who delivers it.

Palin supported Governor Brewer, not McCain. Brewer is the one who took the tough, conservative anti-illegal immigration stand. Palin was supporting Brewer when Brewer had to face down Obama on immigration. Don’t get confused.

The latest propaganda from the left—pay attention, it’s popping up, from liberal callers to talk radio and elsewhere—is that they want Palin to be the nominee. This is only a head fake.

The left thinks they can pick our candidate again, but know they have to be even trickier this time. To say they want Palin is simply a poker move on their part.

The left is terrified of Palin.

Palin thread? The title says "Bachmann watch" and Palin isn't mentioned in the article.

I only responded to someone else trying to diss Bachmann in favor of Palin on a Bachmann thread. Why don’t you just admit you were wrong and leave it at that?
