Libya: Gaddafi 'increasingly worried' he will be killed by Nato (hiding in hospitals)

Col Muammar Gaddafi is “increasingly worried” he will be killed by Nato and has taken to hiding in Libyan hospitals to avoid air strikes, British intelligence reports suggest.

Diplomatic sources last night disclosed that recent intelligence suggested the Libyan dictator was “paranoid” and “on the run” from Nato’s escalating attacks on his regime.

Hadeiba Hadi, Libya’s ambassador to the European Union, said on Thursday he was defecting along with all his staff. The envoy said he and his colleagues wanted “to place ourselves at the service of the Libyan people in the struggle for democracy”.

In the latest move to step up the military pressure on Col Gaddafi, David Cameron gave the final authorisation for Apache attack helicopters to start flying into Libya.

Britain and France have intensified attacks on Tripoli this week and Col Gaddafi, who has not appeared in public for weeks, was said to be moving between different hospitals.

Nato publicly denies targeting Col Gaddafi, but at least one strike has been launched on a building where he was thought to be present.

We put them in there and there are no investigations, no commissions, no oversight, no defunding. Nothing. There is absolutely no reason to vote anymore.

I’m B/S that this man can go to Rio , take his family including the MIL and friends and the say attack and after 60 days congress says OK and does nothing.

What is the point of voting these cowards in plus I’ve not heard the other cowards from the right, talk radio for the most part and TV hosts say much about this and when they do they say it but with no conviction or passion.

Yea I’m so pissed off with all of this crap.

Strikes me as odd that the acronym NATO is typed as Nato.

Why is it that American presidents can simply call for the leaders of other countries to step down? (It doesn't make sense to me even if they are dictators. Obama's a "freely-elected dictator". Why hasn't he been asked to step down?)

Why hasn't Obama asked Imadinnerjacket to step down?

What are the criteria for such a "request"? (demand?)

Does anyone think maybe the queen "embarrassing" him the other night is reason enough for him to send a couple of drones into London? I mean, it was such a rush, I'm sure, killing Osama bin Laden and all...

He must have did something to piss obama off bad. Or, as the Pima County, Arizona Sheriff Department knows, dead men tell no tales. Either way Gadifi[sp?] is screwed.

I’m glad that there is someone else on FR that thinks like I do. I wish the president or dictator of another country would ask Obama to “step down” too.

Ironic that the only shots NATO has fired in anger have been to support and establish destabilizing, Islamic interests, in the Balkans and now North Africa. The Warsaw Pact has proven less malevolent. What a supreme irony.

“THE UNITED STATES IS NATO!!!!!!!!”

The muscle, not the brains. This operation is at the behest of European globalists, and local jihadists.

Oh, gee, I didn’t realize this was all about payback for Lockerbee! Well ok then!

Why didn’t we just murder him when he had his tent set up in Jersey last year? Wouldn’t that have been cheaper?

It’s going to come down to a ground operation by NATO (mostly US) soldiers.

Reports “suggested” that he was paranoid and on the run.

The Brits must have 007 on the case to come up with this scoop.
