Trump denies reading book he signed agreement to get

WASHINGTON – Donald Trump today issued a written statement to the leftist Mother Jones magazine and other news outlets denying he told Jerome Corsi, author of a new bestselling book about Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility, he suspected the birth certificate released by the White House is fraudulent.

Trump also said he had not read Corsi's book, "Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case That Barack Obama Is Not Eligible To Be President," despite having his staff sign a non-disclosure agreement to get the book three weeks before it was released May 17.

Trump does not deny calling Corsi this week but claims in his statement it was only to congratulate him on the sales of his book.

However, Corsi says Trump repeated a conversation he had weeks ago in a conference call with WND Editor and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Farah in which the building magnate said he is concerned about the validity of the document released April 27 by the Obama White House. Farah confirms Trump questioned the authenticity of the birth certificate and said others around him do as well.

Excuse me, but it’s sheeple like you that are what’s wrong with this Country. It’s not a conspiracy even though you leftists like to spew that lie on a regular basis. The man is not eligible, period. He will be brought to justice, mark my words. Soon!

He has employees to read the book and make a report of what is significant?

If that's the case, then it sounds like Trump was playing pretty loose with the confidentiality agreement.

Trump had to have read the book. He made the birth certificate issue a big national issue. WND had been advertising the book for months. Trump gets a pre-release THREE WEEKS before the release date, and he doesn't read it?

It doesn't pass the smell test.

I'm beginning to think that Trump might be playing for the other team whether he knows it or not.

WND is a reliable source for conservative news.

Yeah, a decade ago.

Today, WingNut Daily bears little resemblance to the site it started out as and an increasing resemblance to Alex Jones' Prison Planet or Infowars (where Corsi's latest book is a featured product right next to "There's Poison In The Tap Water" t-shirts).

Didn’t Corsi say last week that he thought Trump was a democrat sting operative?

lets see:

Blue dress - enquirer
Edwards campaign fraud & mistress - enquirer (or was it the globe?)

Vs.

CBS - Fake but real Bush AWOL papers
and silence or complicity in most matters relating to democrats in power

The truth is not exclusive to the major networks, or haven’t you noticed?

I called it from day one. Trump is a front for the DNC. He is a liar and a fraud. Any Freeper that still believes in this idiot is just a fool.

I think he has badly misjudged things here then. I was one of those who spoke well of him here. His disappearance is just too pat. He established himself as the uber-birther and now he has nothing to say? Uh, uh.

Trump is the cur that didn't bark.

Baloney! All the articles they have ever written are still available on WND website, please share one example?

Are you kidding? WND is a joke now. It's become World Birther Daily. The articles lately are mostly laughable attempts to get people to buy the Corsi/WND book. Just the other day I saw a commentary from WND by Farah linked here in which he proclaimed we may be witnessing the final days of the Barack Obama regime over the birth certificate. I mean come on, this stuff isn't just wrong it's down right stupid. Only completely fanatically blinded birther conspiracy theorists could possible believe there is even the slightest chance that Obama will be taken down by this nonsense.

I seem to remember years ago WND being a decent site, but nowadays it's just conspiracy theory central. I take it about as seriously as the Weekly World News. Both can be entertaining now and again, but you wouldn't actually trust anything they say.

WND is one of the few places to get conservative information.

Why would you come here, to FR, and trash WND? What is your agenda?

Um... reality?

I can recall when "World Net Daily" was widely referred to as "World Nut Daily..." here on FR.

Then they come out with all the birther stuff, and because it's popular here, all of sudden they have pristine credibility among a lot of FReepers.

I personally have noted multiple errors of fact in their coverage of the issue. Best case scenario, they're not as careful with their facts and analysis as they need to be. Worst case scenario, they're deliberately fleecing you on the book sales and advertising on all the traffic generated to their site.

Really? Because I think WND has become a garbage conspiracy site?

Well, another FReeper summed up my thoughts perfectly when he posted, "Corsi and Farah have totally gone off the deep end with their ridiculous conspiracy theories..."

Maybe you should call that guy a troll and tell him to go back to DU.

WND is treated with credibility here by some whenever they are on those freeper’s side of an issue.

WND got a lot of support when they were on the “right” side of the Campeon/Ramos Border Patrol trial. They know how to pick the “right” side of issues that will get them money and support.
