To: I got the rope
When I was a kid I played with mercury from broken thermometers on a regular basis. I heated it in test tubes in chemistry class. I've used it to remove lead fouling from gun barrels.

I have no doubt that mercury is toxic but there are far more dangerous things to worry about.

Yes, indeed. Next on the EPA hit list is di-hydrogenoxide. Do you know how many bilions of dollars will be saved when we finally ban this most dangerous of compounds?

And it removes lead fouling pretty well... much better than some of these witch potions that might corrode your bore if you leave ‘em in too long.

A drop of mercury in the recess of a hollow point bullet makes it behave dramatically when shot into live targets NOT meant for food-! Just seal it over with a little parrifin.
