You're the one who felt the need to say that you supported Palin. I simply said that when discussing issues it doesn't matter one way or the other to me if you support Palin or not.

Here's a great piece about Artie Muller from May 2003 in, believe it or not, the NY Times.

EXCERPT: ARTIE MULLER had a problem. Yes, round-the-clock medication eases the pain and numbness in both legs and arms. The hearing aids help. But shrapnel damaged nerves in his left shoulder so badly that if someone brushes against it, Mr. Muller pales and rears back. And in his line of work, which this weekend will have him speaking to at least a quarter-million bikers, an untold number will want to give him a brotherly greeting with a shoulder grip. So Mr. Muller, a terse, stiff-gaited man with a broken nose and a dead-on gaze, wears a warning patch on his biker's vest, already covered with Army decorations and rough-mouth pronouncements. The message across his left shoulder to would-be well-wishers is wordless but, quite literally, pointed: a thicket of metal spikes.

EXCERPT: Every year, a day or two before the holiday, Mr. Muller, now creaky, aching and disabled from his shrapnel wounds and combat-related hearing loss, climbs aboard his '92 Harley-Davidson Low Rider to lead a biker delegation to Washington. Last year, the terror attacks of 2001 swelled attendance. This year, because of the war in Iraq and the attention given the American P.O.W.'s and the case of Michael Scott Speicher, a Navy pilot who fought in the first gulf war and is now listed as missing rather than killed, he expects a similarly large rally.
