I've been a reader of George Will for over 30 years or more. George Will is a lot of things. I've agreed with him more than disagreed with him. But one thing he is not is a RINO. And it's nothing short of idiotic to call him one. He's been consistent over the years. No one here can can point out where Will has been anything but a strict conservative. And George Will was a huge supporter and friend of Ronald Reagan. And Will was a conservative before Palin was even born.

If Will is against Palin, it's because he really believes she cannot win. It's not because he disagrees with her issues. Now it's an arguable point as to whether Palin could win a general election against Obama. But I'm betting George Will and I are having the very same nightmare. It's waking up the first Wednesday in Nov 2012 and seeing the paper headlines where Obama has defeated Palin in the general election. End of America as we knew it.

A gop win wont necessary mean that America will be saved either, unless we have the right candidate. Some of you guys want to win at any cost that you’re willing to sacrifice principal for the sake of it

Listen up....George Will never was a HUGE SUPPORTER of Reagan! In 1980 George Will first choice to face Jimmy Carter was Howard Baker and then he went to George H.W. Bush and then only a week before the election did he relented and got fully behind Reagan and said that he hope he wasn’t wrong with backing him...George Will is a RINO elite and smug one at that!!

Will is a RINO. He was the first to run panting to have that infamous “conservatives hosting Obama for dinner” party. He argued to repeal the 2nd amendment, and he is for open borders. He supports decreasing American sovreignty at every turn by INCREASING global government.

Will is a RINO. RINO RINO RINO. ANd also a fag.

Then we go done swinging and go to plan B. I won't hold my nose again, I'll write her in.

But after the conversation I had with a female barber about how I could get an appointment via walk in (used to have to schedule ) and as she said "look at this place (the hair cutting floor was vacant of clients and the stylist were out chatting in the seating area) it is like a freakin' bowling alley, you could bowl in here".

The humblest of the blue collar types get how frigged up the economy is, no way in hell does he turn around in 18 months, Obama has hosed it that bad. Do you think she will pull the lever for him? Heck my dad pushing 80 pulled the R ticket for Scott Brown and then in Nov a straight R ticket, 1st time in his life. All his working buddies and their kids see nothing turning around, ya can't b.s. these guys.

IMHO I think my barber can relate to Palin more than Obama and his snob background....

Maybe Will should go get a trim where I get my hair cut...

I disagree. Will is a RINO. But what is worse than being a Rino is being a Washington Elitist Insider. He has nothing but disdain for the everyday American that lives in flyover country and works for a living everyday. He is in the same category an Peggy Noonan. I have come to despise the every one of the republican snobs as much as I despise the commie/socialist democrats. Anyone that would sit down and break bread with “man” we now have in the Whitehouse neither deserves my time or my attention. He can go pound sand for all I care. Just as long as he is out of sight and out of earshot!

Your own tagline “good intentions are not enough”, sums up my feelings about Will.

“If Will is against Palin, it’s because he really believes she cannot win. It’s not because he disagrees with her issues.”

Wrong.
He said it was because she is untrustworthy with the nations weapons. He was not commenting on whether she can win,,, he says she is untrustworthy even if she can win.

And i bet Sarah could play baseball better that he could,, even letting him pick any age he has ever been. He’s a total wuss

WRT your post on will:

RYOFT.

Read...your own tagline.

Time for the DC class to bend over and take one for the team.

This time, without lube.

Cheers!

And i see your nightmare. Here’s mine. We wake up that morning,,, and see Romney or some such has just defeated Obama,,, and now the McConnell/Lindsey/Bush wing of the party is back in charge. And nothing will ever change,,,

people will think the we are saved.
Obamacare won’t get repealed, and everything can go back to 2007,,,and we all go back to sleep.

We will be like Ukranians who saw the Nazis rolling in,,, and innocently thought they were saved from Stalin. No RINOS,,,

Will fought like hell to keep Reagan OUT of the White House. You don’t know Will as well as you think. He is generally conservative in thought, but he is DC insider in application of his work. At times he is brilliant. At times he is woefully out of touch.

I agree; he is an elitist snob.

Paul Johnson (the historian) gave an interview for the WSJ. He bristles whenever someone calls him an intellectual...he finds them quite useless.

I suspect Will is the type of intellectual he has in mind.

Any person who has followed politics for any period of time knows the limitations of intellect.

Let us not forget that Reagan was memorably tagged as "intellectually incurious."

It's waking up the first Wednesday in Nov 2012 and seeing the paper headlines where Obama has defeated Palin in the general election. End of America as we knew it...

Not at all, but it will undoubtedly be the end of the 'Pub party as we know it.

I haven’t read Will for 30 years. I have seen & heard him for 20. I have NEVER been impressed. I think the definition of a Conservative has changed (with the times)and Will hasn’t.

I think Will’s type of Conservative is today called a moderate. He isn’t “right” enough for me.

Besides he reminds me of Mr. Rogers. Sweaters with elbow patches & bow ties? Typical Conservative? I don’t think so.

Georgie STFU, and get off the stage.

George Will is a well-paid House Republican for ABC News, the Washington Post and other liberal media. Like a good dog, he performs tricks for his masters on cue and is rewarded.

He is the ultimate Beltway Insider. The only regular folks he comes in contact with are the ushers who escort him and the vendors that bring food to the owner's box at the Orioles games.
