GETTYSBURG Sarah Palin promised reporters on Monday night that if she runs for president, she will break from the usual approaches taken by presidential hopefuls.
Oh, it would definitely be unconventional and nontraditional, knowing us, Ms. Palin told a small scrum of reporters outside her hotel a few minutes from the Gettysburg battlefield.
The impromptu question-and-answer session lasted only slightly more than three minutes after the former Alaska governor stood for pictures with a few tourists before heading off with her daughter, Piper.
The youngest Palin daughter looked none to happy to be delayed by the press corps, and repeatedly tugged at her mothers arm during the questions. At one point, she said, Mom, lets go.

(NY Times reporter Shear posted a YouTube video of the brief press conference. It's a better, and longer, version posted earlier.)

Stupid NY reporter can’t even get the spelling correct: “The youngest Palin daughter looked none to happy...”, should read, “The youngest Palin daughter looked none too happy...”.

More importantly, the stupid NY Times editor didn’t catch that mistake in usage. Sad.

Stupid NY reporter cant even get the spelling correct: The youngest Palin daughter looked none to happy..., should read, The youngest Palin daughter looked none too happy.... Just as stupid is the NYT's use of "Ms. Palin" instead of "Mrs. Palin". Sarah Palin is not Gloria Steinem.

Good point!
But she really should be ‘Governor Palin’. How often do we see the MSM refer to Hillary as ‘Mrs. Clinton’?

What language was the reporter writing in? She seemed to be writing bizarre chickenscratch on that memo pad. 50x worse than might cursive script.

A scrum of reporters? I know a better word.

“A scrum of reporters?”
Yup. there’s an ‘r’ there that doesn’t belong ;)

"Mom, lets go. "Oh! I love that! It's as if Piper gave the reporters the finger. They're dull, boring, stupid and an annoyance.
Sarah GO! Go visit God's Glorious Country!

But she really should be Governor Palin. How often do we see the MSM refer to Hillary as Mrs. Clinton? That will be moot in the not-too-distance future since she'll be known as:
PRESIDENT PALIN
Does that get an "Amen" from anyone here? :-)

"Sarah Palin promised reporters on Monday night that if she runs for president, she will break from the usual approaches taken by presidential hopefuls."
That is what Fred Thompson said going into the 2008 elections and it did not work out for him. At one point he was even leading the field in the polls prior to actually joining the race. Of course the rise of Huckabee was a big factor, but I think that underestimating the need to create a traditional campaign apparatus the old fashion way had something to do with it as well. Of course none of this would matter if Sarah is simply using the campaign speculation to increase her profile rather than actually preparing to run.
