A man who was killed trying to protect his girlfriend and a 16-year-old girl were among six people killed and at least 21 others wounded in separate shootings over the Memorial Day holiday and into the night, officials said.
Two of the non-fatal shootings took place at a South Side beach.
The spate of violence came only a day after the redeployment of 500 police officers from two specialized units to high-crime districts.
The first slaying happened about 7:49 p.m. on the 7600 block of South Eberhart Avenue in the city's Chatham neighborhood, police said.

Bill Clinton used to talk about how many “children” were killed by guns every year. Upon further review, we learned that the “children” he talked about were predominantly teenage members of gangs, who were out in the streets doing what gangs do best.

Obama’s militia could decide to show up and “take it back.” Naperville is hated by the yutes of Aurora, used to work with them and got to know quite a few of the proto Obama militia, and let me tell the happy faced morons of Political Correctness Naperville is disliked.

Same thing in Austin last night. Two yutes were casing cars on 6th ST, and two APD officers [on bikes] approached them. They got into their getaway car, hit one officer and pinned him against another vehicle. The other LEO shot and killed one suspect and wounded the driver.
They were just playing frisbee golf.
I guess I don’t get out much! I’m in Joliet and know what goes down around here. Naperville to me is that little “kingdom” on the edge. I know Aurora has a lot of problems with the illegals and the blacks but I wouldn’t think that the Naperville PD would put up with it. I guess the mushheads have infilterated just about everywhere in IL. But with such “upstanding”, “honest” and “compassionate” leaders like Dickey Durbin,Luis V. Gutierrez, good ole boy JJ Jr., Blagovich, and now with Twinkle Toes as mayor it won’t be long before Shitcago collapses into total anarchy. This weekend was just a warm up. And I’m not referring to the “global” type!
It ain’t so little anymore and it has been infused with section 8 deadbeats who were exiled from chicago. I still can envision a flash gathering of thugs on the Riverwalk or at the two major fests that Naper hosts and the police being outnumbered and unprepared because of our “leaders” putting on the smiley face of moronic PC. Chicago demolished their “trash containers” and shifted all the trash in every which direction. I know in Joliet they have been in a legal arguement for years with HUD trying to get the Evergreen Terrace apartments torn down. It’s a depository for the displaced Chicago trash. How did the citizens of Naperville allow section 8 housing to be built?
