Y'all gotta keep in mind that 600K annually is "Government Bookkeeping Speak", just as in the cost of waging wars, etc.

The prisons are built, his keepers are there anyway, and those costs go on whether or not he's imprisoned......just the way people don't seem to fathom that our military costs are pretty much the same, no matter where the troops are stationed.

Keep him right where he is.

You're forgetting the astronomical costs to the tax payers for his health care while in prison. A rubber chicken would be more a threat in this particular case. This guys life is basically already over. Even if ya opened his cell door, he couldn't leave....

It’s expensive to keep a quad, no matter how you slice it. Barring that, it’s no secret that those who are forced to live in the prison hospital cost us an arm and a leg. He’s not capable of causing trouble, let his family have him and save the cash.

That $600K is for his individual health care alone. The regular prison stuff, which you talk about as money spent whether he's there or not, is an added $200K.
