Landing ground tracks show Endeavour speeding high over the Yucatan Peninsula and the Gulf of Mexico northwest of Cuba before crossing into Florida air space around Fort Myers and continuing northeast across Central Florida.

I wish I could see it.

Should have planned to land it in California, as that is where it’s going to end up anyway.

Loval forecast for Melbourne:

“Clear through midnight then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 70s. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph becoming east 5 to 10 mph late.”

I watch the NASA channel from time to time. You’re sitting there in Mission Control with all the folks...it’s great.

But of course this was all put in place before Bambi announced that the main mission of NASA was not space exploration but outreach to Muslims.

One of the advantages to living on the Left Coast is that I can stay up till a reasonable hour this evening and watch Endeavour’s final landing. Wheels stop well before midnight here...

If we can put a man on the moon then,

we could put a muslim on the moon.

And if we can put a muslim on the moon then,

one day

we could put all of the muslims....

on the moon.

Well, since Islam is a moon-worship based cult, maybe they’d all be happy there. Nah, nothing except death and destruction makes a Muslim happy, so we don’t want them up on the moon trying to kill us from yet another vantage point...

There is no new space craft.

After the last shuttle flies, we are done.

Aw, I wish it had been too cloudy in FL and they could have landed here in CA. I always love it when the windows all rattle. I hope there will be a new whatever to replace these shuttles. I love space exploration. It’s one of the good things we do.

Manned exploration doesn't buy enough votes per dollar, so don't count on it. There is some hope for private manned spaceflight, though.

Russia.
The ultimate irony. The most celebrated socialist workers paradise does not have half of its population as idle pets subsisting on "government" money.

They can still afford a Space Program.

One more flight and the US manned space program is history. Libs and conservatives will be delighted. Time to pass the torch to China.

Praise the Lord. This waste of money is almost over. One more stupid politically correct crew (ill bet at least one astronaut in a wheel chair) and this madness will be over and these parasites have to go get real jobs after 99 weeks of welfare. We are totally broke and doing this junk?

Hey, newbie - thanks for sharing your utter ignorance

So you think it's better to send the NASA money to "mostly Muslim Countries" to educate and train muslims in space science?

Or are you ignorant about that too?

Yup. All the medical advances and advances in other fields that were a result of the space program. Certainly did`nt need that crap. What a waste. The future belongs to China as we become a country of navel gazers.

delbertt (Toilets) Since May 16, 2011 - Praise the Lord. This waste of money is almost over. One more stupid politically correct crew (ill bet at least one astronaut in a wheel chair) and this madness will be over and these parasites have to go get real jobs after 99 weeks of welfare. We are totally broke and doing this junk?

You have a perfect tagline, newbie. And as a Rat, you did what Rats always do - you used a kneejerk group reference without even noticing you did it.

You also chose a disability reference that merely reflected your own filthy prejudice, and had nothing to do with conservatism. Conservatives would have high praise for a paraplegic who was able to overcome his or her disability to the level of achieving spacefight crew status.

And speaking of praise, I'm surprised you were able to type the phrase "Praise the Lord" without being hit by lightning, as you used the saying only to mock.

Get lost, punk. This website is not for the likes of you - or yours.

Following on NASA ipad app... very cool. First time I’ve see this much detail (or bothered to watch). My own fault for waiting until the next to last STS mission. :-(

Godspeed, crew of the Endeavor.

I know it may not be exciting to most, but something about that shot of the runway is pretty cool.
