Without manufacturing, we will be at the mercy of developing nations with factories and factory workers who can produce goods. Manufacturing is not just making things; it is core competencies and experience, legacy and innovation in building and creating an economy.
The northeastern elites are so enamored of European style socialism they can’t see what happened to them; many lost their manufacturing base to become shopkeepers and bankers, speculators and professional bureaucrats, their sense of themselves grows more effete and like France, the aging whore, are reliant on lies, deception and capitulation to hordes of aliens who will bring them to their knees.
We will follow that path until conservative principals, strong manufacturing bases and the ability to produce defense return. We desperately need the death of the hyphenated American, PC semi-socialist elites to be soundly defeated and the end of the Grand Old Potty.
All they have to do is drive around the cities and see the remains of the industrial engine which built this great Country. But they've all moved to the 'burbs' and stay in their insulated environs, wondering what went wrong.
