I’ll take someone with the right instincts over someone “schooled.” “Schooled” people think we can negotiate with enemies who want to destroy us. They think you can make a deal with leftists and the leftists will keep their word. They think they have a right to manage other people’s lives, “for their own good,” of course.

Exactly. When someone is principled, they can apply said principles to a situation without having to be an expert in the particulars.
