On the point about being unschooled in policy, he does not know what she has studied and what she knows.
But even more, he fails to see that we Americans don’t need an education in some things to know a few basics.
They all hooted and hollered when she predicted “death panels” in Obamacare. Common sense told her and us that rationing care for the elderly was where this was headed, where it had no choice but to go.

My personal belief is that her interview with Katie Couric really taught Sarah a lesson about the need to have a good understanding of things like policies or world events, cultures or whatever. Having charm, personality, wit is just not enough, if you’re going to play in Washington.
It wouldn’t surprise me if she has since subscribed to a magazine or two since then.
