President Obama's solicitor general, defending the national health care law on Wednesday, told a federal appeals court that Americans who didn't like the individual mandate could always avoid it by choosing to earn less money. Neal Kumar Katyal, the acting solicitor general, made the argument under questioning before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in Cincinnati. The three-judge panel, which was comprised of two Republican-appointed judges and a Democratic-appointed judge, expressed more skepticism about the government's defense of the health care law than the Fourth Circuit panel that heard the Virginia-based Obamacare challenge last

“at some point, you [commoners] have earned enough money”
what he really meant...
But then Obama and the media will be shocked when the government has no money to pay for everybody's needs because "the rich" will have gone Galt or died out. So they fire up the printing presses and then are shocked and chagrined when US currency becomes worthless. Such a wonderful future, must be hope and change, change we can believe in (?).
Soon we’ll all be threshing wheat in a winepress.
“Hail o mighty man of God!”
“Say what?”
Oh, if they show up with guns and destroy my livestock & crops, I won’t resist, but I’ll sure make it a point to find out who they are, and where they live, and take it back to them.
We are already earning less money, thanks to 0’s tax hike...”IRS code fiddling”, because the cowards were to cowardly to pass a tax hike bill.
If my son who will maybe make $18K this year noticed the tax hike, then 0 broke his promise of not raising taxes on those making $200K for a single. If you are retired Military you got hit by this tax hike too.
Ah, the East Germany option. Don't give Obama any ideas. I do think he believes that the state should control every aspect of its subjects' lives and that sounds like he would like an option where his property couldn't get away.
Maybe because it’s ‘white’...................
What is ‘medical transcription”?.................
Typical communist, eh? Never mind the fact that if somebody makes more money the government gets a larger cut at lower rates but to just suggest that folks “make less money” to avoid the heavy hand of government shows an arrogance that we’ve come to expect from Barack Hussein Obama’s administration.
Even their arguments in court are arrogant and obtuse, lacking completely in common sense.
Their authority for everything seems to devolve into "Because we can!"
Tells you who the Democrats are. Conservatives would like to see everybody get ahead. The Democrats want to see everybody economically contained. That should be obvious from this and other statements they make. Trouble is, some voters aren’t listening.
I'm sure that the lady can speak for herself, but I believe that it involves listening to recorded medical reports (e.g., a physician describing, on dictaphone, an x-ray) and transcribing them, i.e., typing what was said.
It's one of the areas in which Artificial Intelligence (specifically: voice recognition software) has made tremendous strides in recent years, thus eliminating the need for human workers.
Regards,
When inflation hits, we’ll all be making $80,000 a year but bread will be $20 a loaf or more, and gas will be $25 a gallon. “Making less” will mean $60,000 a year which will be just above poverty level and well above the Obamacare maximum.
More proof that the government wants all of us to be poor, so that it can control us.
my 90yo German mother told me that ‘hate’ is the wrong emotion. Those that hate become like what they hate. Strongly oppose them but your personal success is the way to beat them.
bttt
Don't overlook the opportunity for increased range time (another reason to spend more time cleaning).
Well, Obama did say at some point you have made enough money. This is their plan and it seems to be working.
FUBO - I really, really, really hate this man!
I read this entire article and I still can’t get my jaw off the table.
It’s the Chicago way :)
