Marilyn Monroe as “the greatest comedienne in the history of the screen.”

Probably over the top but she WAS pretty funny in “Some Like it Hot”.

“We were riding along and listening to NPR. I felt my facial muscles tightening, and the words beginning to form in my mind: Shut the fuck up..

That is not surprising. In fact, it happens to me every time I am subjected to NPR.

I just finished an advance copy of this book last week. I applaud his sentiments. I think at times his Judaism gets overbearing. It’s not a particularly well organized book, more like a bunch of newspaper essays, some better than others. And (ugh) I agree with Loder that too often he marches into the mire of existential bogs.

The most shocking thing about this article is not the language, but the fact the Kurt Loder writes a regular piece for Reason. Being of the original MTV generation, I am a little shocked that they would have even a Libertarian floating around there. I always thought the only token righty was Kennedy. It is very interesting to know that there are anti Statist hiding where you least expect it. Especially the news guy at MTV.

When she married DiMaggio, she almost right away went to a USO tour in Korea.

He didn't like it.

She was SUCH a stupid jerk, coming home she said: “You don't know how it feels with thousands and thousands of people standing and cheering your name!”

He said: “But, I DO”

Adam Curry is a Libertarian. He’s a big Ron Paul supporter and “Truther”.

Monroe was reportedly very intelligent.

Apparently DiMaggio was a real jerk in person. Paul Simon said in an interview years ago that he bumped into Mr Coffee at a NYC restaurant and words were said over his name being mention in the song Mrs Robinson. The interaction deflated Simon pretty much because he idolized DiMaggio. Joe had some sort of insecurity about something. That probably was his problem with Monroe’s popularity.

I just can not believe that the righteous Left would ever use foul language.

They are always so considerate of others and would never demean or denigrate anyone even when they disagree.

Only the scum bags on the Right (AKA - Right Wing Extremists) resort to disgusting usage of the English language.

We should always applaud the intentions of the Left leaning spokesmen and loudly jeer whenever a Conservative or Tea Party member speaks (regardless of what they say or how they say it.)

I have been to speeches given by both groups and I learned that what the leftist speakers are always meant in humor and with the best of intentions.

The Tea Party Members are suspiciously polite but it is obvious to everyone concerned that they are thinking dirty thoughts and are mumbling profanities under their breath every minute.

Long live the thoughtful and considerate Democratic Left and be afraid of the devilish Tea Party Conservatives. They will slit your throat if they have the chance. I just know it.

I did not know that. I always liked him and though he had at least, if not better delivery and presence than Peter Jennings at the time. Maybe that is why he ended up at MTV for so many years and not doing a Big Three news reporting job. Not on the Liberal reservation.
