Palin meets with Ayotte in N.H. By: Kasie Hunt June 3, 2011 07:15 AM EDT |
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Sarah Palin breakfasted with Sen. Kelly Ayotte early Friday morning in an unexpected stop on Day 6 of her One Nation bus tour.
Palin endorsed Ayotte in a contested primary election in 2010, choosing the former state attorney general over conservative favorite Ovide Lamontange in a race Ayotte won by less than a percentage point.
Palin dined at the Golden Egg, where staff was given no advance warning of her visit. She sat at a table with Ayotte, Ayotte’s husband, and with her own daughter Piper.
Ayotte did not attend Palin’s clambake on Thursday. She is the highest-ranking sitting official Palin has met with during her East Coast tour so far.
Palin and her family then headed to Logan Airport in Boston to fly home, ending the the first leg of the tour. Palin confirmed to reporters again this morning that the tour would soon resume, but declined to specify where. She said that if the tour does go to Iowa, she would be interested in meeting with Gov. Terry Branstad, whom she also endorsed last year.

I think we can presume a meeting with Nikki Haley in SC as well.

If Sarah didn’t come up here to Clark’s Trading Post then she really didn’t come to New Hampshire. If you go to visit the Taj Mahal, you don’t turn around and leave when you’ve seen the threshold.

“..with no advance warning”. These media types crack me up. Why would 4 people need “reservations” at a diner? Sarah isn’t the problem - the media is.

I guess she didn’t quite make it to Lincoln, but that would have made for some great photo-ops at the railroad depot and maybe with the trained bears. ;-)

Pollutico is disrespectful of Gov. Palin.
It is their way.

Believe it or not, there is life north of Concord, although you wouldn’t know it by talking to most of my colleagues in the legislature. Over half the state’s population is in Rockingham and Hillsboro counties.

if I make it as far north as Wentworth on this campaign, I will make an effort to get over to Lincoln. Anyone else signing up for Grafton?

I will be in Wentworth this evening calling a square dance. Or geometric interfacing if you don’t dance.

It takes 2 secs to read, and you have a pretty good idea of the latest news, and no media Palin spin.

i think the strategy in Grafton is “get your campaigning done before the snow comes back.” We are runnin’ outa time.

Time is running out. It begins to get dark earlier, for longer, in less than three weeks!
