Does anyone remember when the police promised, they promised, that no one would be stopped simply for not wearing a seatbelt? That the only way you would get a ticket was if you were already pulled over for some other infraction, like speeding?

That the only way you would get a ticket was if you were already pulled over for some other infraction, like speeding? Oh I remember, I lived in Indiana then. I fought against that law and my main reason, it gave a cop probable cause to stop anyone at anytime, without a real reason.
