Personally, feelings are mixed on my account. While yes, it does sound appealing and loads of people on Huffington Post and other sites will hail Kevorkian as some sort of hero, I feel he didn't quite fit the mold. Though I welcome further discussion on the topic.

Anybody there to “assist” him?

From what I understand, he didn’t ask for a DNR order, what a hypocrite.

He was obsessed with death, which is really the origin of his nick-name, not because of the assisted suicides he performed. He was called Dr. Death before he began using his suicide machine. He was goulsihly obsessed. He wanted to photograph people taking their last breath.

Pacino said during the speech that it was a pleasure to "try to portray someone as brilliant and interesting and unique" as Kevorkian and a "pleasure to know him." Hollywierd puke.

And there goes to hell an evil man who preyed upon depressed people and conned them into suicide so that he could fulfill his evil blood lust and satanic agenda for murders.
He may have died 'peacefully' in a hospital bed but legions of devils were waiting for him on the other side and he WILL be judged for the many murders he committed in name of assisted suicide.

Don’t know whether it’s true or not, but Rush said today that Kevorkian hung on until the bitter end - meaning that he did everything he could to stay alive. Irony.
