I love the way Sarah is playing the press like a drum. Personally, I think that was the main reason for her bus tour.
I also think she may be testing the water for a presidential run.
And—I do think a large part of the reason for the trip was to take her family to visit some of our famous monuments and other sites. Everybody would enjoy a trip like that, I think.

Piper has more backbone than the average “electable” republican.
I was just mentioning this to a friend the other day.
With her dark glasses she was scanning the crowd like a pro, no surprise since the Palins had the Secret Service Protection unit throughout the campaign. She learned from the best and is obviously a quick study like her mom.
But the pick movie in Philly (?) was a thing of beauty more than likely learned from shooting hoops with mom and all.
Piper has that head scan swivel down pat.
Gotta love Piper Palin. She’s been a constant fixture at her mother’s side since Sarah ran for VP in 2008. Can you imagine how much this child has learned about the world in all that time?
She’s gonna be some kinda dangerous one day.
Just a thought...
When children are brought into political activity by their parents, the parents can no longer appeal to the press to “leave their children alone”, even years down the road.
It’s wonderful on the one hand to be a “familiy-oriented” candidate. On the other, one is making one’s children fair game by initiating their inclusion in the political process.
I guess each politician gets to make that decision personally.
