The world's woodland is getting denser and change could help combat climate change
UK Daily Mail ^ | June 6, 2011 | DailyMail Reporter

For years exponents of climate change theories have used images of deforestation to support their cause.

However, the density of forests and woodland across much of the world is actually increasing, according to a respected scientific study.

The change, which is being dubbed the 'Great Reversal', could be crucial in reducing atmospheric carbon, which is linked to climate change.

In countries from Finland to Malaysia, the thickening has taken place so quickly that it has reversed the carbon losses caused by deforestation between 1990 and 2010. In Britain, forest density has increased by 10.8 per cent from 2000 to 2010 and by 6.6 per cent across the whole of Europe.

Dubbed the planet's lungs, forests act as huge carbon sinks that absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere as they grow.

That's the answer -- not making us stop using energy.

God/Nature/"Mother Earth" are bringing things back in balance. How arrogant of men to think they cause climate change and their actions will stop it...

Global Warming Scare -- RIP.

Atmosphere carbon is linked to... the atmosphere.

The carbon scare-mongers fail to mention that all trees and plants use photosynthesis, converting CO2 into O2, while retaining carbon.

I read somewhere that more CO2 in the atmosphere actually makes trees and plants grow better, and they absorb more carbon, generating more oxygen.

Nature’s brilliant balancing act.

Damn it Jim.....there is no balance!!!!!!!!!!!

Climate is naturally variable.

Let's all de-sphincter ourselves, un-initiate ourselves from this great gaia whore that sitteth upon the beast, and breath again.

God will cause the beast to cast her off....patience, then repent, for the worst will yet come.

Oh NO! STOP GLOBAL FOREST INFESTATION!

We are going to DIE!!!

Tree roots will destroy our homes, blot out the sun and eat our children!!!

The only way to stop this is to submit to a global tree tax. Yeah, for every tree you plant you are taxed $10,000 dollars! Right!

Trees contribute to carbon...shouldn’t they be cutting them all down? /s

LOL!

The GW scare mongers do indeed have to find something else to use to frighten us — yours is a good start. ;)

That was exactly my thought: that the growing density of vegetation is a function of higher CO2 levels in the atmosphere. Like watering your plants a little extra.

Of course no one dares say this in the media or the scientific community. For them, increasing forest density is somehow an inexplicable mystery.

I did a quick search, and found a few articles, but that is not publicized much.

Global warming makes trees grow at fastest rate for 200 years

2 Feb 2010

http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/climate-change/global-warming-makes-trees-grow-at-fastest-rate-for-200-years-1886342.html

Forests in the northern hemisphere could be growing faster now than they were 200 years ago as a result of climate change, according to a study of trees in eastern America.

Higher concentrations of carbon dioxide and extended growing seasons could be favourable for agriculture in some parts of the world, mainly in the northern hemisphere. The study in Maryland suggests that the extra growth in trees could help to act as a more efficient carbon “sink”, which could offset the carbon dioxide being added to the atmosphere by the burning of fossil fuels.

Fifth of world carbon emissions soaked up by extra forest growth, scientists find

Trees in the tropics are getting bigger, which means they are soaking up an extra 5bn tonnes of CO2 a year

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/feb/18/trees-tropics-climate-change

Trees across the tropics are getting bigger and offering unexpected help in the fight against climate change, scientists have discovered.

A laborious study of the girth of 70,000 trees across Africa has shown that tropical forests are soaking up more carbon dioxide pollution that anybody realised. Almost one-fifth of our fossil fuel emissions are absorbed by forests across Africa, Amazonia and Asia, the research suggests.

Global Warming May Increase the Capacity of Trees to Store Carbon

May 31, 2011

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/05/110525120050.htm

Trees and plants capture carbon dioxide during photosynthesis, thereby removing the most abundant greenhouse gas from the atmosphere and storing some of it in their woody tissue.

No Smoking Hot Spot (The Australian)

The missing hotspot (JoNova)

Those two articles take Greenhouse Theory at face value and by the criterion set up in the theory itself finds no evidence of warming on the basis of greenhouse effect.

The Hidden Flaw in Greenhouse Theory

Falsification Of The Atmospheric CO2 Greenhouse Effects Within The Frame Of Physics

Harvard astrophysicist dismisses AGW theory, challenges peers to 'take back climate science'

It Is Impossible For A 100 ppm Increase In Atmospheric CO2 Concentration To Cause Global Warming

Simple Chemistry and the Real Greenhouse Effect.

Those five articles each show that Greenhouse Theory has no basis in reality due to a direct conflict with the known laws of physics. No wonder the smoking gun "hotspot" can't be found.

Claim That Sea Level Is Rising Is a Total Fraud

That article kills any thought of planetary warming from any cause. Think about it. If there is absolutely no sign of rising sea levels how could the planet be warming? The rise in sea level in the last 100 years is almost exactly the same as the average over the last 40,000 years caused by the inter-glacial period we are in.

“Trees contribute to carbon...shouldn’t they be cutting them all down? /s”

The Native Americans did. There was less forestation in North America, Central America and South America prior to Western civilization arriving.

And like today, in South and Central America, burning was the modus operandi for clearing. They weren't that gaia about it.

Monsters!!!!!!!!
