Universities 'complacent' over Islamic radicals ("extremist philosophies in general")
Telegraph UK ^ | June 5, 2011 | Duncan Gardham, Security Correspndent

Theresa May told The Daily Telegraph that universities were not taking the issue of radicalisation seriously enough and that it was too easy for Muslim extremists to form groups on campuses “without anyone knowing”.

[snip]

As part of the Prevent strategy, the Government will define as extremists anyone who “does not subscribe to human rights, equality before the law, democracy and full participation in society”, including those who “promote or implicitly tolerate the killing of British soldiers”.

Mrs May said: “We are looking at a set of values we believe we have here in the UK and those people opposed to those values are people who the Government won’t be funding or engaging with.”

....There will also be a move to limit access to extremist websites from public buildings, particularly schools and public libraries.

....The strategy will also seek to counter radical Right-wing terrorists following a rise in the threat from such extremists.

“We should not just look at one particular type of terrorism but look at violent extremism and terrorism more widely as well,” Mrs May said.

Details of partnerships with YouTube and AOL to try to tackle extremism online, using lessons learned from anti-paedophile policing will be made public.

....“There’s an ideology out there that we need to challenge and when we first came in as a government one of the things we were very clear about here at the Home Office was we needed to look at extremism, not just violent extremism,”..

The strategy will also incorporate the Prime Minister’s pet project, the Big Society, promoting the idea of mobilising the “silent majority” of Muslims.

....“Sending clear messages about our values is part of the information we want to put out,” said Mrs May.

Certainly there are ways the UK can restrict terrorists and radical groups on their campuses without resorting to such a broad sweep -- such universal language. Who will decide what is "radical" what is "extreme," not in line with "human rights or civil rights?

Remove "the killing of British soldiers" in the paragraph that I bolded and substitute some other "cause." How about "deniers of global warming"?

Just this morning there is a column in an Australian newspaper calling for climate-change deniers to be identified and tattooed.

Then too, Al Gore admonished students that their parents are wrong when they deny climate change and that they must challenge their parents so laws will be changed:

Al Gore [excerpts]: "Gore, who compared action on global warming to the Civil Rights movement, was the keynote speaker at Power Shift 2011, a Washington conference attended largely by college students.

....“What is the answer for this?" Gore asked. "It has to come from you. It has to come at the grassroots level. It has to come from young people, and I believe that you are up to it and that you can do it.”

.....Gore said the Civil Rights movement was fueled by youth questioning their parents about legal discrimination, and he drew a link to climate change.

“When they could not answer that moral question coming straight from the conscience of young people, that is when the laws began to change,” Gore said. “You need to ask, ‘tell me again why its alright to put 90 million tons of global warming pollution into the atmosphere every 24 hours, 20 percent of it will still be there in 20,000 years.'”

“You need to ask that question and other related questions. Don’t they see the evidence, don’t they hear what the scientists are saying, do they actually believe this lying from the large carbon polluters, that the scientists are making this up?” Gore added. [end excerpts]

Hell, our nation elected a Muslim Sympathizer.

Our whole crazy world is tolerant of Islamic violence, depravity, and its brutality.

Most universities and colleges (with the exception of Christian ones) are atheistic, hostile towards Judeo-Christianity, and awash in their own sins.

The army of Satan marches on.

Yet if a [Judeo-Christian] prayer is uttered anywhere in University facilities, the Administrators are on it like white-on-rice.
