For several years, the IAEA has been investigating Western intelligence reports indicating Iran had coordinated efforts to process uranium, test explosives at high altitude and revamp a ballistic missile cone so it can take a nuclear warhead.
Amano said he had written last month to the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation, Fereydoun Abbasi-Davani, "reiterating the agency's concerns about the existence of possible military dimensions.
Amano made clear that Iran's response had not been satisfactory.....
The IAEA is still struggling to close the barn door, while the Iranian nuclear horse is a speck on the horizon.

In other words, after years of IAEA covering for Iran's weapons programs, Iran is about to detonate a weapon and the IAEA don't want to look like like fools and because they want to maintain some credibility so they can continue to cover for other dangerous, genocidal dictatorships in the future.

As someone astutely pointed out in a podcast I was listening to yesterday, the Obama administration has been vigorously helping to overthrow the Middle East dictator who voluntarily gave up his nuclear weapons (Ghaddafi) even as it continues to appease the Middle East dictator who to this very day continues to pursue such weapons as quickly as feasible.
The lesson for all our enemies could not be more clear.
