As revelations about a possible scandal plaguing Rep. Anthony Weiner continue surface, the Democratic New York congressman continues to have defenders:
On Monday’s broadcast of “The View,” co-host Barbara Walters went to bat for Weiner and proposed that the picture in question was intended for his wife and not for whom it was sent.
“First of all, I have my own theory about why he took that picture, if indeed he did take that picture,” Walters said. “This is my theory – this doesn’t mean that it is right. He is married to this beautiful woman, whom I know, who a lot of us know, who the chief of staff to Hillary Clinton and she travels a lot. And it may be that he took that picture and sent it to his wife to say this is how much I miss you. That’s possible.”
That drew laughter from even “The View” co-host Joy Behar, a staunch liberal whose politics fall in line with Weiner’s. However, Walters also defended Weiner by attacking former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. She argued if Palin can make a bus tour and be considered viable for the presidency, then Weiner can get away with this and continue to be a sitting congressman.

Near as I can tell the have to talk about Weiner because he's the hot topic right now, but their talking points memo for the week was all about Palin and the bus tour, so they're doing the best they can.
Agree or disagree about whether she's the right choice for the Republican ticket, but if she can get them all wadded up like this over a bus tour, I want some more of that.

Brooke’s wife passed away 13 years ago, and The Enquirer reports that an insider claims “she hated Barbara Walters till the day she died” and blamed her for their divorce. Wikipedia says 88 year-old Brooke now lives in Miami with his second wife and has two daughters and a son. He has refused to comment about Walters’ memoir and their supposed affair.

After that affair came tumbling down, she moved on to Alan Greenspan, John Warner before he was a senator and again after his divorce from Liz Taylor, and Alan ‘Ace’ Greenberg. In 1986, she was married for a third time to producer Merv Adelson. That marriage only last six years.
Can you imagine if Weiner had an R after his name what the bunch of fools would say then?!

Barbara had an affair with a married man, so she wouldn’t be angry at Weiner for what he did to his wife. Her affair ended because they both feared it would ruin their careers....
