You would be surprised at just how much quicker those crickets begin chirping when the candidate accused of making the gaffe does not run out to the microphones after every statement to explain what they really meant and when you have followers that will let the issue die by not commenting on it. You'd also be surprised at how fast the crickets start chirping when it is anyone else but Sarah Palin...
