West Des Moines, Iowa (CNN) - Former Pennsylvania senator and – since Monday – Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is standing by comments he made regarding "enhanced interrogation" and Sen. John McCain's position on the technique.

Santorum caught flack just over two weeks ago when he said McCain, a former prisoner of war, "doesn't understand how enhanced interrogation works."

"We have a very different opinion of how the enhanced interrogation program works and I've been very clear about that," Santorum told reporters Tuesday during his first trip to Iowa, adding, "We still have a disagreement."

Who cares what McCain thinks?

The bastard loves these people:

Illegal alien MS13 gang members that rape and murder Americans.

.

Furthermore...

Who the hell with any common sense would agree with McCain on this issue? He is the odd man out, not Santorum.

I like Rick a lot...much, much more than Mitt, Tim, etc. They are not even options for me. He does not seem to get much attention even here at FR. Too bad his announcement got overshadowed by Weinergate.

Well that’s a good point for him but it doesn’t overcome his support for Spectre !

Ahhh, my bad. I misread the article at a glance, and thought Santorum was adopting McCain’s Stockholm Syndrome position.

McCain knows exactly how well it works. He told the VC everything they wanted to know under torture and doesn't want that revealed. He may be against it but others will die without it!

I like Santorum too.

As for Romney, he's for all the wrong things:

Amnesty

Cap and Trade

Obamacare

Abortion
