Multiple police sources indicate investigators are taking a close look at Gladstone Sgt. Lynne Benton after the death of her spouse.
One suspect is already in custody for the crime. 53-year old Susan Campbell is charged with one count of murder for the killing of Deborah Lee Higbee Benton.
Sounds about right
Thought I saw on the initial news reports about the murder that they had split up. Could it be that Benton hired the meth-head to off her “wife”?
Or was the meth head the new girlfriend
The use of the word "spouse" is getting to be an early warning in articles of this sort.
