Palin chief blasts Rollins, expects 'retraction'
Politico ^ | 06/08/2011 | Ben Smith

Posted on 06/08/2011 10:07:06 AM PDT by Hawk720

Sarah Palin's chief of staff blasted Michele Bachmann strategist Ed Rollins today after Rollins criticized the former Alaska governor and suggested to POLITICO that his candidate would benefit by comparison to her

"Beltway political strategist Ed Rollins has a long, long track record of taking high profile jobs and promptly sticking his foot in his mouth," said Sarah PAC chief of staff Michael Glassner in an emailed statement. "To no one's surprise he has done it again, while also fueling a contrived narrative about the presidential race by the mainstream media. One would expect that his woodshed moment is coming and that a retraction will be issued soon."

Rollins will be the kiss of death for Bachmann, just watch.

Very disappointed she hired this loser, and if she doesn’t correct that error soon I’ll be close to writing her off. I know she is the candidate, not Rollins - but this says a lot about her judgement.

I agree - Palin and company should remain silent. This will help Palin in the current battle (if she’s even running) - the battle for the nomination — without her team having to lift a finger.

Ed Rollins is the very definition of a loose cannon. After Michael Huffington hired him to run his Senate campaign in California, Rollins trashed him in the media after Huffington lost.

Rollins is not trustworthy and he has demonstrated that he will bite the hand that feeds him. So any Republican politician that hires him needs to have their head examined

Backstabbing Mitt Romney:
"Do your duty for me. Attack the bitch and her children.
YOU will embrace these attacks on Gov. Palin and her defenseless children
as when you threw elections in 2008 and 2010
for ME. FOR ME.
Create, then support, the vicious anti-GOP attacks from our northern lands,
our bought media, and our plants within the Obama team.
Use Rollins and Rove and Krauthammer.
They hate women, too. Like us.
I will gain GOP and media favor by condemning the very same attacks and
ordering them opposed from our lands in the south.
Whichever way the tide runs, we will arise and only I will be left standing.”

Honestly, who is on the list to be a strategist for Bachmann? It seems that qualified strategists might be in short supply.

The fact MB has NOT issued a statement to refudiate Rollons’ comments simply means MB is OK with these comments.

MB is on Romney team and working to dilute Sarah’s support in exchange to be VP on Romney ticket.

Liberal at top w/conservative woman as VP - didn’t work so well in 2008.

MB has sold her political soul.

The Bachmann campaign used Rat, elitist Rino and MSM rhetoric against Palin, this was no accident and not just Rollins doing.
He may have suggested it, but it had to be approved by Bachmann.
If it was not approved, Rollins should be fired.

Palin has not backed down from a fight yet, she shouldn't start now.

Perot hired him in 1992 and ended up firing him. He tried to make it a nice separation but Larry King kept quoting Rollins and finally Perot said “I fired him. Okay?” He never would say exactly why. Or at least I don’t remember why.

Correction: The ladies aren't fighting yet. And the head of Sarah's PAC is correct. Ed Rollins has a long history of sticking his feet squarely between his teeth.

If Sarah enters the contest I don't expect to hear her nor Mrs. Bachman bad mouth each other. But I don't expect Sarah is going to enter the race.

The damage is done, the deal is sealed, Bachmann’s silence is deafening.

Palin had nothing to do with this and now she’s been pulled into a tawdry mess, thanks to Bachmann.

Horrid judgment on her part to even hire Rollins and now she’s had chances aplenty to fire him and hasn’t.
