WESH.com is reporting a stressed-out teacher posted a video of vandalism at his school — Riverside Elementary in Orlando — on YouTube because he's tired of working in a 'war zone."

"I've had students hit other students with chairs, with desks (and) broken windows. I've been bit myself," teacher Vance McKay told WESH.com.

Brown v. Board of Education has been a disaster for America and for the Black community. In chosing integration over creating better schools it destroyed the very guts of the Black community. Within two decades most Blacks understood that they could not compete with Whites on their own turf. Instead of being lifted slowly but surely through better funding of black schools, inner cities were destroyed. And when Whites left the integrated schools students were left with nonsensical busing from nowhere to nowhere. Today it is generally understood that Black entrollment at major universities is the bone the liberal White establishment throws to Blacks. Instead of having pride-driven education we have ebonics; instead of first rate state universities we have mediocre education that survives thanks to the pathos of social sciences. It doesn’t matter who the Black person is; when a white sees a black holding a serious position it is automatically assumed it came about through some form of social engineering, not ability. Again I say, Brown v. Board of Education was a disaster whose effect is felt to the present day.

The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow.

Kind of frightening isn’t it!

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Between these threads, the ones about the flashmobs, and the anticipated economic collapse, it appears as if the country is coming apart at the seams.

It’s a shame this is going on in an Orlando elementary school. Back in the day before Disney World was built, Orlando was a nice quiet town.

Obviously the amount of money spent per student was not enough. SPEND MORE MONEY. That’ll be sure to fix it.

Amazing what happens to a town when some Mickey Mouse outfit moves in.

People moved there from all over the country looking for jobs. I have fond memories of Orlando before Disney World. I remember how polite everyone was.

There has been major white flight from that school over the past ten years. It does not take much for the middle class to decide a school is too abusive/dangerous to be trusted with their children.
