Overlooking the fact that Clinton’s “surplus” was only because he gutted the military. Give me a break!
Indeed - if Donald Trump paid in, then the government owes him the benefit that HE PAID FOR. The problem isn't that Donald Trump might collect social security - the problem is that for every Donald Trump, there are many, many freeloaders getting way more than they paid into the system. This is especially true of Social Security disability payments - I'd bet that 90% of the claims are fraudulent.
When Reagan took office in January 1981, the IRS was raking in $500 billion per year.
When Reagan left office eight years later, the IRS was raking in $950 billion per year. The economy grew substantially.
It matters in that they don't have the political knowledge to argue with Coulter so her admission consoled them when they ran out of ammunition, lol.
And - of course there are a lot of RINO’s who need to be removed but it's not going to happen in one fell swoop.
Reagan cut tax RATES, not taxes. Until people learn to use the word "rates" most people will never understand how a decrease in taxes leads to an increase in taxes. At least Ann used the word "revenue." I know it's a math term, which most people hate, but we conservatives who want to educate an ill-informed populace shoule try to teach them.
That is correct- that’s why I would never vote for Gingrich - he had his chance and blew it, too. WHY??????
Two Kids’ Dad wrote: “You have that backwards. It was under the Newt-led house that the budget became temporarily controllable and had a surplus (under some, but not all, definitions).”
..... Perhaps my prose was not as clear as I intended, but that is exactly what I thought I was saying.
Everytime I hear them talk about Clinton’s surplus I never ever hear a Republican tell them it was because of a Republican Congress and it’s aways tee’s me off. Repubs are really, really bad at PR.
It truly is sickening.
