World Powers Condemn Iran’s Nuclear Enrichment Expansion Plans

Thursday, June 9th, 2011 at 2:35 pm UTC Posted 1 hour ago

World powers meeting in Vienna to discuss global atomic issues have criticized Iran for proposed moves this week to accelerate its capability to produce nuclear fuel. Britain, China, France, Germany, Russia and the United States expressed their concerns in a joint statement Thursday to a meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency's 35-member board of governors. The allies said IAEA chief Yukiya Amano sent a message to Iran's Atomic Energy Organization raising concerns about “possible military dimensions” of Iran's controversial nuclear program. Tehran says its nuclear ambitions are peaceful.

The U.S. ambassador to the IAEA, Glyn Davies, said Iran's move was “the most recent brazen example of (Iran's) deepening non-compliance” with international demands.

Iran is being sanctioned by the West for its controversial nuclear development,

Iran's nuclear chief said Wednesday that the country will move its production of higher enriched uranium to a new site, while also tripling its production capacity for nuclear fuel. Iran revealed the existence of the new facility in 2009, triggering outrage from Western nations that suspect Iran is enriching uranium to make nuclear weapons.

On Tuesday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad rejected a report from the U.N.'s watchdog agency that said Tehran may have carried out nuclear work with possible military purposes.

Mr. Ahmadinejad said the report “lacks legal credibility” and that comments made by the chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency would have no bearing on Iran's nuclear activities.

DDSS means Different Day Same Sh-t and refers to the endless series of ‘viewing with disapproval from the international community’ that each step towards Iran developing a usable nuclear weapons program evokes. What elese does it mean?

Some guy named Eric, whose handle is rainbowman, calls himself a “gay conservative” and has freepmailed me just now. Is he adding the gay keywords? I think he is about to be zotted.

I don't know what Eric is up to. All I did was put what I thought was a non controversial acronym in the comment for the Iran nuke story. I got some other mail that JR was posting ‘anti-gay threads’. Someone must be off their meds today. JR certainly didn't post anything and I didn't post any knowing anti-gay anything.

DDSS has no other meaning as far as I can tell. Maybe "Eric" AKA rainbowman knows. Actually, he seems to have chosen your thread for a random drive-by.

By the way, it's the same guy freepmailing us both. He was railing about JR to me, too. IBTZ.

‘Eric’ must either be a loon or a disrupter. Perhaps both at the same time. Have a good day.

Where were we? Oh, yes: This charade will go nowhere. The United States government (executive branch) has decided to let Iran have nukes. Israel can't take them out without US help and encouragement. Their government lacks the necessary domestic support. Plus, Netanyahu is currently preoccupied with trying to keep from having to give away Jerusalem and half his country to terrorists. We are looking at a nuclearized Middle East and a very destructive war in the near future, which no one can/will preempt.

The Jews need to showcase some new technology. They finished out the old dirty nuclear bomb in 1945 and the world has been copying this crap for years. I would have to bet they have some great new technology which will shake the old in its booties. How many technology cycles have occurred since then?
