They will do some little thing, the economy will appear to recover, however briefly, by a measly 1% just before the election, the press will be all OH HAIL OBAMA HE SAVED US and he will win the re-election.
Sigh.

He’s doing the opposite, but will say he’s doing right for America.

Beginning of the crack-up.

They want to run on a huge WPA-style jobs program. This will NOT pass the House. Then they can run on blaming Republicans for failing to pass a second Porkulus which most of the public does not want in the first place.

Obama has enough problems and likely does not wish to skate into this one, which will only exacerbate the fissures opening up within this party.

I don't see much in this article about Dems wanting to make the economic climate more favorable for small businesses, but I do see them wanting to spend several billion more on government projects. Granted, I do think the country's infrastructure should be addressed because some of it is crumbling. But spending must be cut in a lot of other places before we free up those funds to fix the roads and such.

Infra structure spending is not really private sector, it’s fascism, crony capitalism.

We have one of these projects being pushed in my county. It’s a GATEWAY project (UN Agenda 21/Wildlands). They are rail/port projects intended to connect ports around the world by rail, through rural areas, putting the rural areas off limits to development. The heinous project in my county is a COAL terminal. ...and guess who is supporting it. The REPUBLICANS and big labor.

That’s right, the Republicans in WA state have joined big labor in pushing a Democrat crony capitalist project with Goldman Sachs, Warren Buffet and other big Democrat donors. This project depends on federal funding, which Patty Murray has proposed S. 942. This won’t pass without Republican support in the House of Representatives.
