For every person angry about the killer, there were about five people angry at the New York Post for printing a picture of the victim.

No mention of the dummying-up of witnesses yesterday, no mention of the way no one will help the cops get to the bottom of this and bring the girls killer to justice. Not a smidgen of anger or outrage about that.

No, the problem is that the NY Post prints a picture. The problem is that there were no undercover cops to mix in unobtrusivly with thousands of near-naked kids.

It seems like millions of human beings are just drifting off into an alternative universe.

That’s what death looks like. She looks at peace, and it seems like such a waste of a life, which it is. There are gorier pictures printed, and even worse things in the ‘black museums’ they used to show soldiers as part of training to fight against terrorists. I don’t think this ranks as the most exploitative picture the New York Post has ever published, but if it offended her family then they’re owed an apology for compounding their grief.

Our leadership class, both media and politicians, are void of judgment in all aspects of their actions. The publication of picture was totally unnecessary. I guess the media is so desperate for readers with the resulting "revenue" that they will start publishing photos of the recently killed to draw in the jaded. God Help Us!

I was really shocked they published that photo.

They printed another one, over 25 years ago, right on the front page.

There was a mob rub out, someone in the wilds of brooklyn. They had a pic on the front page of the blood drenched windshield of the car. The bodies were still inside.

A lovely sight as I was on my way to work that AM.

I like the Post, but it is not OK to show that poor girl like that.

I notice that the article keeps pointing out 95 degree heat as if that’s a factor. Big deal, 95 degree in nothing for summer, darn near a relief temp. Good ol’ MSM, always blaming something besides what the problem really is: out of control thugs that need indicting, prosecution and incarceration.

I believe there is an axiom for photo-journalists, “ Follow the body”.

The picture ,though not so pleasant in being posted to a newspaper will be good to have to help in the conviction of the gangbanger who did the shooting. If they ever catch him, because of course , no one saw a thing.

Brighton Beach used to be a wonderful place where Jewish, Italian and Irish immigrant families would frolick. Now it looks like if anyone lighter than a latte showed up they wouldn’t last long.
