Most were legal thanks to Ted Kennedy & Co. Today, there are a lot of Israeli’s, other ME’s, Russians and Poles.
P.S., I should have written IRONIC, given Ted Kennedy’s infamous speech about the ‘65 immigration bill. Nothing against the Irish at all, mind you.
I guess it is across the northeast; sounds like NJ & NY. They encourage them to settle here because without them whole areas would be ghost towns. The Americans and the companies that employ have fled the high costs, and without the infusion of illegals there would be little reason to keep on so many civil servants.
