Yea, the sat map is either off a bit or the plume. We should soon have confirmation from additional sources. Sure looks like it erupted though. May be some kind of atmospheric phenomena occurring in conjunction with the earthquake swarm.
The place is really the middle of nowhere and hell on earth.
However, an eruption should be visible from Djibouti, where we have a substantial military base.
If anyone has an family members over there, may want to give them a ping, if possible.
