Don't recall the makeup. The laughs and vocal intonation are simply irritants. I can handle irritants from politicians who I think are up the the job they are seeking. You have been through this thread. You know the serious concerns I have regarding her effectiveness as a legislator, leader and relationship builder.

You can respect my opinion or not, your choice. It is a fact based one and those facts stand alone without background.

But when any of these asshats come through here with the Sarah Quit crap, I will respond in kind. The voice and laugh remarks were an in-kind comments.

Good thing that was only a black bear and not a grizzly.

Must've been a Viking Kitty in the later pic.

Cheers!

Sarah Palin is my candidate unless she decides not to run OR unless she shows me a flaw I can’t overlook. So far, neither has happened. I am taking that into consideration as I watch each one of these suitors proposing to me. Show me. That is all I ask.
romney is a never. paul is a never. Newt is a never. Huntsman and Johnson I ain’t even considering. The rest, I am watching every step of the way.

I can agree with all of that.

Sarah Palin has been fully vetted.

With all the others, we are going to be learning more, and more than likely we already know the positive stuff about them.

Obamacare is 2,000 pages designed to spawn thousands of pages of ‘administrative law’, written by the executive branch.

Obama reelected = socialized medicine written into law by his HHS minions.
Conservative elected = socialized medicine repeal signed by the President.

Your creation of strawman arguments that lower the President to the level of a clerk is unbecoming and complicates that simple reality.

“EVEN IF IT MEANS OBAMA ANOTHER 4 YEARS”

Not heretical, just ... ah, dumb. There’s no excuse for a 2nd Obama term. NONE.

Let’s just find someone else to nominate, shall we?

Your creation of strawman arguments that lower the President to the level of a clerk is unbecoming and complicates that simple reality.

The Constitution grants far fewer powers to the President than they appear to have granted themselves or that have been unconstitutionally delegated to them by congress.

The powers of the president are enumerated in the Constitution. The obligation to execute the laws passed by Congress is both an obligation and an enumerated power. The power to repeal laws or to make laws is not granted to the President.

As an executive he could make a determination that a law is so complicated that he cannot, in his exercise of presidential authority, execute the law faithfully and could exercise his authority to call an extraordinary session of congress and force them to stay in session until they re-write the law so that it is capable of being faithfully executed, or he could demand that if they could not so fix it that they repeal it.

As an aside, the problem with our immigration laws is that no president has ever seen fit to faithfully execute the immigration laws. They are quite adept at faithfully executing the tax laws on citizens, but they seem to look the other way when illegal immigrants cheat on their taxes and steal the identities of taxpayers.

If presidents actually took the oath of office seriously and actually enforced the laws and didn't exercise powers that exceed those enumerated in the Constitution, then I suspect that 2000 page bills that nobody read before voting would be a thing of the past.

Why all the words?
IT’S SIMPLE: President dont just execute laws, they sign them into law - or not.

1. GOP CONGRESS + GOP PRESIDENT WILL REPEAL OBAMACARE.
2. OBAMA WILL VETO REPEAL.

So OBVIOUSLY the fate of Obamacare depends on who is in the White House. Obamacare WILL be repealed if republicans are in charge.

Sorry for shouting but you are seriously lost in the weeds and missing the point.

Actually the Supreme Court is likely to shut it down before Congress acts.

But the fact remains that presidents are duty bound to enforce laws they don’t like.

Obama seems to be quite selective in the laws he chooses to enforce. That is a violation of his oath of office.

Agitprop? You have some bizarre ideas. Do you see flying saucers at night, too? Seriously, with all due respect, let’s just agree to disagree and move on....or are you the type that has to have the last word?

I was watching the debate and making comments. I was not poring through the thread looking for your posts.

What I did see was about 10 posts in a row, some in conversation with another, that were juvenile, superficial personal attacks on Michele Bachman.

It negated any serious criticism you may have had in her 'effectiveness as a legislator,' and IMO, put you on the same level as people who do the same thing to Sarah Palin.

She did well and is off to a good start as a serious candidate, and I, for one, will be watching her closely.

She's the real deal, and as one who went to the "Kill the Bill" rally in DC, I very much appreciated her leadership in the Tea Party cause.
