Good grief. Please go back and read my past posts. I’m no lib. sheesh.

If you read the link I posted, you will note that Palin & Maddow met and it wasn’t a disaster. Evidently, it was polite. For the record, Maddow was cordial over time to Michael Steele and he’s become an MSLSD contributor. There is no danger of that with Palin.

I’m a solid conservative. Your snarkiness is interesting but of no moment to me.

What’s your problem, btw?

“The headline doesn’t say the RNC Chairman was shouted down but rather his words, which were shouted down with “shut up”.”

You shouldn’t redefine the term to defend a lame headline. Interupting the playing of a tape with an exasperated “shut up” is in no way a shout down. You can’t “shout down” someone who is not there. It means to yell over another’s words to drown them out.
IMO the headline is purposely misleading and inflammatory. Why else wouldn’t it be something like, “Scarborough refuses to play tape of RNC Chair’s comments on Weiner”?

I had not heard Joe Skunkborough’s voice in quite a while. It sounds to me like he is getting, as Bob Grant would say,”A little light in the loafers”.

Remember the "live boy dead girl" dichotomy

"He wasn't going out with little boys. " ... Charlie Rangel (Weiner has a defender!)

Like to ask Charlie how he can say that so knowledgeably?!

MICKEY KAUS: Weiner not the only one heading for rehab:

Markos Moulitsas, founder of the Daily Kos, said he would request a leave of absence from his popular group blog to learn what he called “partisan aggression management.” ”Twice now–with John Edwards and Anthony Weiner–I’ve defended pretty obviously guilty Democrats by approving nasty arguments attacking their critics–arguments that turned out to be wrong. I thought I was fighting back, but I brought nothing but humiliation and disgrace to myself and my party. The truth comes out eventually. I hadn’t taken that into account. I have departed this morning to seek professional treatment to focus on becoming a better blogger and healthier person.”

There’s a reason this former Republican “rising star” suddenly up and bailed.
Anyway, he’s with NBC now, so he once again has to do what he’s told.

I am not redefining anything. You made an erroneous observation about the headline which states his words were shouted down.

'Just Shut Up': Scarborough Shouts Down RNC Chairman's Words On Weiner

A person's words can be shouted down in person or from a tape when those words fail to be heard. In this case the tape was not played thus it was "shouted down".

"IMO the headline is purposely misleading and inflammatory. Why else wouldn’t it be something like, “Scarborough refuses to play tape of RNC Chair’s comments on Weiner”?"

Because it was Mika Brzezinsk who was going to play the tape, but Scarborough shouted the tape down by interrupting her with "shut up" over her voice, and then the tape was not played. That makes another erroneous observation on your part.

Your comments are ridiculous. There was no erroneous observation about the headline. “Words” is another way to imply comments or discussion. By your definition you can “shout down” an essay because it is made up of “words”. Shouting down is not refusing to play a tape, it involves a verbal confrontation between PEOPLE. There was no confrontation or argument between Mika and Scab and no real shouting.

Ridiculous eh?

Let me tell you what I find really ridiculous:
You being hypercritical on a headline to such a degree as to be attacking a conservative based watchdog instead of the issue presented against the Far Left msnbc. And to do so on conservative Free Republic while being even more ridiculous by contradicting easily looked up definitions on Google:

shout down
to overwhelm someone or something by shouting.

and

shout down
vb
(tr, adverb) to drown, overwhelm, or silence by shouting or talking loudly

Joe is the Congressional sex pot who had a dead intern show up in his office. He does not want to be a part in condemning sex perverts. He was pals with Gary Condit.

"It's just stupid. Just shut up," said Scarborough of Priebus.

The left cannot tolerate hearing any POV but their own.

My hat is off to you for the report, but I can’t imagine watching this guy and trying to keep my breakfast down.

I’m one of those that wonders why anyone in the GOP would go on MSNBC, period!
