ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN (BNO NEWS) -- Pakistani Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs, Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, on Monday announced that the United States granted $190 million in aid for the victims of last year's devastating floods, state-run media reported.

The announcement was made following a meeting between Pakistani officials and a U.S. delegation led by Thomas Nides, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources and Cameron Munter, the U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan.

"When terrible floods hit your nation last summer, the United States was the first country to provide aid," said Nides, as cited by APP. "Today, I am pleased to announce that we have fulfilled a commitment we made to the Pakistani people. We have transferred $190 million we pledged last year to the Citizen's Damage Compensation Program."

All while FEMA is sending denial letters to families that say their homes are still safe to habitate... even though they are no longer there - just a foundation (thank you Glen Beck for highlighting that this afternoon)...

While I firmly believe that it is NOT the government’s responsibility to “help folks” when disaster strikes - I am even MORE opposed to our government doling out the cashola to other nations - especially those who have and still do harbor known terrorist...

What would honestly happen if we just turned off the spigot to all these other countries? If we just went whole hog and brought every single soldier home, closed down every embassy, and not one more penny to leave our shores?

Would we be attacked the next day, week, year or decade down the road?
Would the dollar no longer be the reserve currency of the world? Causing the dollar to lose tremendous value?
Would oil no longer be priced in dollars and we would get $10+ per gallon gas?

How bad could it honestly be?

Beyond not having the money to send... do you REALLY think the victims of the flood will see one stinking penny of it? We just flushed another $190 million down the terrorist terlet.

U.S. grants $190 million aid for Pakistani flood victims

Which is the least we could do after they sent us those millions after Katrina, and they sent us those supply teams after the tornados this year. And of course, their compassion after 9/11 was so touching. Oh wait, what? They didn't do a thing? They were cheering?

Huma was very busy overseas securing our tax dollars for her homeland... Meanwhile her hubby back in the States was busy...well you know.

Tell Pakistan that we need $200 billion for the recent disasters in Joplin, Missouri and a mile wide by 70 mile long path through Oklahoma.

We were supposed to be giving them DEMOCRACY. They need to get their own money.

Besides, none of the money will go to actually help the normal citizens in Pakistan with the disaster. It is all being routed into the pockets of the aristocracy and and a big portion is being donated back to the DNC and Obama.

Well, US owners of textiles/manufacturing companies there are surely happy to know that our government is supporting them.

I thought the House of Representatives was the legislative body that authorized all spending by the Feds.

How is it that Obama and his various cabinet Sectys. can just up and decide to give away millions and billions of dollars to other countries without a vote of approval in Congress?

Pisses me off that they give so much to other countries and have denied declaring the Texas wildfires a “disaster” after Gov. Perry has requested six times since Dec. 2010. The fires in Texas have destroyed hundreds of homes and businesses and burned about 2.5 million acres. ....Let a much smaller fire in CA burn and it’s almost immediately declared a “disaster” and gets Federal aid.

This is why Obama’s background and sealed records are important.

Why did he go to Pakistan in his college years? who did he see? His alliances and priorities seem to be with them through foreign policy and spending our money.

I doubt this money ends up with flood victims. There is a bigger agenda with ME and Israel. The timing is odd.
