Along about 1966 in the Holy City of Jacksonville, there came a challenge from the Great North...otherwise known as the University of Georgia. A great competition would be held to determine Bragger's Rights at the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.
The Year of the Gator had been declared by the High Priest of the Sports Page, Tom McEwen. The Gators were riding high having beaten such powerhouses as the University of Richmond.
The skies were dark as the competition began. Fate was against the Gators. It rained without lapse. At the end, The Year of the Gator was buried in the mud.....51 to 0.
