I deeply apologize that this idiot keeps getting elected to congress from Texas.
This transplant New Yorker has a very IGNORANT constituency base. There was actually a conservative black man who ran against her this past election cycle, but he barely registered any votes.
I can tell you a story about Rep Jackson...
She and her entourage and a state representative (also black and very liberal) showed up at my sister’s bank office last year. Rep Jackson had an appt with the bank’s attorney (who my sister worked for) in charge of business bankruptcies.
Rep Jackson seemed to think her “weight” of office and outright asking for special considerations would convince this attorney to give a particular black business man another chance with his business and stop the take-over proceedings against this man who was in significant financial distress and had defaulted on several loans.
The bank attorney asked Rep Jackson if she was asking him to ignore federal law for this favor. Because what she was asking him to do would have been against federal regulations.
Rep Jackson realizing she had “stepped in it” tried to crawfish out of her statement. Coming to the realization this attorney wasn’t going to help her friend she got up and left in a huff.
