The pit bull breed needs to end. I’m certain the owner of these dogs said something along the lines of “My dogs would never hurt anyone, they are gentle!”
The breed itself was developed to be vicious.
There are only two kinds of pit bulls. Those that have attacked humans and those that will attack humans.

Right now our pit bull is curled up with our 5-year old. In your plan, I wonder if, after you’ve deprived your fellow citizens of their family pets and property, what you’ll turn your attention towards next? Maybe in your next fit of “conservatism” you’ll get rid of all those guns that kill people (/sarcasm)
Pit Bulls were the trench dogs of the Marines in WWI. They were bred as fighting dogs, as in to attack people. That is what the breed is for, attacking people. It is their instinct. They should be outlawed.
Owners whose pit bulls attack people should be charged as accessories to attempted murder. When pit bulls attack a child owners should be charged with accesory to assault upon a minor along with attempted murder.
Sue-the-crap out of the owners and throw them in prison!
Ignorance and aggression against the innocent must be punished.
