Thinking about it some more, there needs to be a limit on how long “immigrants” can remain here without going through the whole citizenship process.

I would give them no more than three years, if they have not become a naturalized citizen by then, BYE-BYE!

The entire idea of “Permanent resident alien” is an insult to our society.
If they do not intend to become citizens who share our culture, they are just foreign agents we do not need or want.

Well under current law, you have to be a permanent resident for five years before you can even apply for citizenship. Personally, that makes more sense than your suggestion to get it done in less than three.
