WAIT A MINUTE! Homophobic is defined as having an irrational hatred of homosexuality. Is this saying a bunch of gay-hating LEFTISTS mobbed Breibart? I don’t know of any gay-hating leftists. I think they should be described as HOMOCENTRIC leftists, i.e. having the same circles of influence and convergence with homosexuals.
I see a need for a few neologisms. The suffix “phobia” is continually being misused to mean “distaste for” or “intolerance of” rather than its actual meaning of “fear of.” We need a new suffix for distaste or intolerance, and I offer “sardony,” from the Greek “sardonios” meaning “scornful” or “mocking.” Sardonios is also the root of the word sardonic. So rather than homophobia, we all have homosardony, a distaste for homosexuality.
I offer a second neologism that is particularly descriptive of the left: gegonophobia, the irrational fear of the truth, from the Greek gegonos which means events or facts. An alternative might be veraciphobia, from the Latin veracitas, meaning truthfulness, but I don’t like to mix Greek and Latin roots unless its unavoidable.
