I only encountered him a couple of times. I liked him, and he struck me as very bright, but also as a mild and even timid personality. Great support guy, weak executive. This came to the fore when he submitted to federal obstruction during the oil spill. That event showed his true mettle . . . unfortunately. Indignation is not authority or power.
