Close, but Tina Fey said, posing a Sarah Palin, “I can see Russia from my house.” The press ran with it as if Palin herself said it, and it still stands with the other side.

If you, and others like you, really wanted TRUTH, you would go to the very next post (#20) and watch the video of her interview where she said you could see Russia from land in Alaska.

Tina Fey, the comedian, portraying Sarah made the statement she could see Russia from her house in a satirical comedy skit.

Ignorant people are believing what they want to believe and remaining ignorant. TRUTH will set you free from enslavement to tyrannical leaders.

You are believing what they want you to believe.

500 round blocks of .22 LR will be the $100 bills of SHTF.

The only way to say the Second is still an effective check is if we aren't afraid to take it out and dust it off once in a while.

We are so far over due most now feel it isn't worth it any more. Or that the costs are too great. Or that it won't work as the FedForces are too powerful even though we out number them by almost 8:1 by even 3% numbers.

So many excuses, so little real threat behind any of our bluster.

None of us needs an excuse. Those we have in abundance.

Thanks for sticking on the gun topic.

It's my own fault for including Mrs. Palin in the title, but the article had nothing to do with her. All it did was allude to the controversy as the backdrop / attention getter. Then went on to state the very message she was trying to articulate herself.

check out #41.

At the time we thought even the French could and would fight for their country.

This idea has generated several threads over the years.

Today's inexpensive (well under $200) pistols are the equivalent of that Liberator.

And a 60’s vintage .22 short “zip gun” is cheaper yet.

How reliable is a zip gun? Despite propaganda amongst firearms purists, I've found my C9 to be an above average, albeit somewhat heavy, weapon.

They weren't reliable or safe.

I only made and fired one. At age 16, I was immortal so of course knew I'd be fine.

I'd never do so now unless there was no other option.

From the article, bears repeating:

"The Colonists had been possibly the freest people on earth. Taxes were low and regulations rare. Prosperity flourished."

Can we make it happen again?

Yep, I've been storing away bricks of .22 rounds for some years now. Other stuff, too.

Technically, we were ALL British at the time, as we had not yet declared independence. Basically just a group of rebellious colonists that were to be disarmed, placed under martial law and denied the traditional rights of Englishmen. Didn’t work out too well for King George, though;)

I have a feeling our next war WILL be within our own borders.

May God have mercy on us all.

Very true. I was watching one of those State Trooper shows and the one I saw was regarding Alaska.

Now you could not get to this place without an airplane (which seems to be the norm in Alaska), but this tip of Alaska, where the State Troopers went, they said on a clear day you CAN see Russia.

It appears Sarah knows EXACTLY what she is talking about...the rest just talk out of their a$$.
