Michael Bublé is furious at the rioting mob that turned violent, destroyed property, and looted stores in Vancouver Wednesday night and he aims to do something about it.
The singer took a break from his U.S. tour to fly into his hometown Wednesday night to see the final game. He witnessed his beloved team, the Vancouver Canucks, lose the Stanley Cup to the Boston Bruins. Afterward, he headed toward the airport, but on his way out of the city, he caught a glimpse of the rioting that had begun in the downtown streets. When he arrived in Connecticut, he says he quickly turned on the television and saw the angry mob torching more cars and looting stores.
I was crushed, he said from a tour stop in New Hampshire Friday night. I felt sick inside. Im so proud of my city and any chance I get I promote it. I tell people how great we are. Its crushing to have a legacy like that tarnished by some losers.
This weekend he launched an ad campaign in Vancouver newspapers, encouraging people to come forward with their photographic evidence and to turn in the guilty parties.
Theyre trash, basically. It was gutless and disgusting behaviour. And Im grateful for the police and firemen and paramedics who put their lives on the line, because there were people who were so scared. And that mob mentality could have killed somebody.

That’s what they get for allowing all those American draft dodgers into their country.
IMHO
There’s probably a fair bit of truth in that.
Men used to be men at one time up here, there wasn’t a man to be found in that video of the two small women trying to protect their car from the idiots.
Good for him! I hope some of the idiots are identified and punished in a manner that will be a significant and fearsome example to others who might consider such behavior.
Buble is the Future. Real music, real arrangements. Want to bet most of his contemporaries ridicule him?
This music video says it all, especially when he does the James Dean thing.
Change is blowing in the wind!
HOLLYWIERD IS DEAD!
He was in NH last night? Why wasn't I told?!?! Aaaarrrgh!!!
You can find it in yourself!
Great vid thanks for that - the guy has a great voice!
“keep believin’ what is true and the world will come to you” - nice line form the song!

I seem to remember several years ago when Vancouver won a Stanley Cup that there was rioting afterwards.
Win or lose, a drunk Canadian likes to torch things (at least in Vahnkewver).
BTW the music industry and Hollywood did everything they could to stop this MB song. Didn't work!

I don’t want to do a look up for Buble and politics. Although it seems like he is outside of the industry and makes his own way.
Vancouver lost the Stanley Cup to the NY Rangers in 1994 and had an almost identical riot. Vancouver has never won the Stanley Cup.
Thanks for the correction, but I stand by my drunk Canadian theory.
Of course I don’t just blame it on Molson imbibing Canadians; assorted anarchists and other nut jobs are not in short supply either and like a good bonfire and broken window.
I spoke with a business contact in Vancouver yesterday who tells me he thinks it was a gang of anarchists who had gathered in anticipation of the game. And he thinks they would have rioted regardless if the Canucks had won or lost.
Vancouver is home of the Situationist (Fourth International communist) magazine Adbusters, and a significant anarchist community.
These same people show up in Seattle and Portland whenever there’s an opportunity to destroy things.
WTO in Seattle was the first large riot in the area as I recall. There have been several others since. There seems to be a group of oxymoronic organized anarchists that travel from city to city marauding from time to time.
They also showed up in Toronto and Montreal,
